Albany Business Review Features UCM’s Series A Investment News
Technology and healthcare reporter Justin Dawes of the Albany Business Review spoke with UCM Digital Health CEO Keith Algozzine about UCM’s Series A funding announcement — and the commitment to finding the right venture partners that truly believe in our mission.
Here’s a snippet from the article:
UCM had previously planned to not take on venture capital in an effort to avoid working with people whose views may conflict with the mission, said Keith Algozzine, founder and CEO.
“But a combination of what has transpired over the past year and finding the right venture partners that truly believe in our mission made us recognize that we would be potentially hurting patients if we didn’t take this capital because we have so much more to offer,” Algozzine said.
The capital will primarily go toward advancing the platform’s technology. That includes hiring about 20 tech staff over the next 18 months.
